Danmark acquires more Naval Strike Missiles

The Danish government has entered into a contract valued at approximately NOK 400 million to acquire an undisclosed number of Naval Strike Missiles (NSM). This deal is structured as a government-to-government agreement between the procurement agencies of Norway and Denmark, specifically the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (FMA) and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO).

Denmark became the fifth NATO member to acquire the coastal artillery system, following Poland, the United States, Romania, and Latvia, with its original acquisition taking place in 2025. In addition to this system, Denmark has also placed separate orders for NSM missiles intended for use on its frigates.

The coastal defense system features KONGSBERG’s sophisticated fire control system, the NSM missile, and the associated launch pads.
