Saab has secured an order to update the Gripen’s flight control computer with a new, future-proof solution aimed at fulfilling long-term demands for availability, performance, and security of supply. This initiative will be carried out in close collaboration with Försvarets materielverk (FMV).
The flight control computer serves as a key component within Gripen’s flight control system, significantly enhancing the aircraft’s safe and precise maneuverability.
“We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with FMV. The new flight control computer will contribute to Gripen’s capability and performance for decades to come,” stated Marcus Wandt, head of Saab’s business area Aeronautics.
