American Rheinmetall contracted by Kongsberg for MCT-30 turret components
American Rheinmetall has secured a significant contract from Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace to manufacture machined components for the MCT‑30 medium caliber turret. These components will be utilized in the U.S. Marine Corps’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle infantry fighting vehicle variant, designated as the ACV‑30.
The contract, valued at approximately $710,000, will see American Rheinmetall’s facilities in Lapeer and Lansing, Michigan, produce the necessary components for the MCT‑30 turrets, with deliveries anticipated to occur throughout 2026 and 2027. As part of this agreement, American Rheinmetall will act as a subcontractor for Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.
This award represents the inaugural contract from Kongsberg to American Rheinmetall’s Michigan operations, highlighting the company’s ongoing growth and diversification of its U.S. customer base. Additionally, it builds upon years of successful collaboration between Kongsberg and American Rheinmetall’s Maine facility in support of the CROWS program.
