Lockheed Martin to Provide Next-Generation Logistics and Sustainment Support for U.S. Special Operations Command Under New Contract

ORLANDO, Fla., July 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In a significant move to enhance military logistics, the Department of War has designated Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) as the prime contractor for a new initiative supporting U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) next-generation logistics and sustainment program.

The contract, valued at $10.5 billion and spanning 12 years, will fund the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services II (GLSS2). This follows Lockheed Martin’s previous successful engagements since 2010, ensuring that U.S. Special Operations Forces receive the necessary support for rapid deployment and mission success.

Under the GLSS2 contract, Lockheed Martin will oversee day-to-day operations and manage sustainment and life-cycle services for:

  • Global supply chain activities involving parts procurement, warehouses, and depots;
