ANKARA, Türkiye – July 15, 2026 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has formalized a collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aiming to incorporate the MQ-4C Triton uncrewed aircraft system into NATO operations. This agreement, signed during the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum, is integral to the recently announced Letter of Intent which seeks to enhance the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Force with the addition of Triton systems.

This strategic industrial MOU addresses several cooperative areas between Northrop Grumman and Airbus. Moreover, both companies are engaging with a broader array of European industrial partners to expedite the implementation of this capability. Efforts are currently being coordinated with KONGSBERG Defence & Aerospace AS (Norway), Insta Advance Oy (Finland), Terma A/S (Denmark), and Exence S.A. (Poland) to build upon their existing contributions to the NATO ISR Force.
