Elbit Systems Expands Underwater and Maritime Autonomy Capabilities with Acquisition of ISE | Elbit Systems
Elbit Systems Ltd. has finalized its acquisition of International Submarine Engineering Ltd. (ISE), a Canadian company renowned for its advanced autonomous underwater and remotely operated systems tailored for the maritime sector. The specifics of the purchase price remain undisclosed, as it is deemed non-material to Elbit Systems.
ISE, headquartered in the Vancouver area, specializes in the development and production of undersea vehicles, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). The firm boasts over 50 years of experience in subsea robotics and has successfully delivered more than 250 underwater vehicles to clients across more than 20 countries globally.
Elbit Systems’ naval offerings encompass unmanned surface vessels, underwater systems, integrated command-and-control (C2) suites, electro-optical and sonar systems, as well as communication and electronic warfare technologies. Through its various subsidiaries and global centers of excellence, Elbit Systems provides reliable naval capabilities that support a wide range of missions, from coastal security to blue-water operations.
The integration of ISE’s underwater autonomous technologies is set to enhance Elbit Systems’ proficiency in underwater Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Mine Counter Measures (MCM), and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), thereby fortifying the Company’s comprehensive maritime solutions.
