Embraer and Jazz Forge Partnership for Joint Inventory Strategy for Canadian E-Jets

Embraer, a leading name in the global aerospace sector, has partnered with Jazz Aviation LP (‘Jazz’), Canada’s largest regional airline and the primary operator of Air Canada Express. Together, they have established a spare parts inventory support agreement that covers all E-Jets within Jazz’s fleet. Currently, Jazz operates 25 E-175 jets and will proudly be the inaugural customer for Embraer’s Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) program in Canada. The ECIP program is designed to enhance operational efficiency by utilizing data-driven inventory planning, where Embraer invests significantly in spare parts management to minimize airline downtime.

“This new contract highlights the rapid expansion of Embraer Services & Support in North America, which is home to the world’s largest E-Jets fleet. We eagerly anticipate providing support to Jazz, our first customer in Canada, helping them reduce operational downtime while enhancing performance,” stated Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support.

Doug Clarke, President of Jazz, remarked, “This partnership with Embraer marks a significant advancement in bolstering the reliability and efficiency of our E-Jets operations across North America. By engaging with the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning program, we are leveraging Embraer’s extensive materials expertise to ensure minimal downtime, thereby maintaining high-quality service for our Air Canada Express passengers.”

The ECIP program provides multiple benefits for airline customers. Primarily, Embraer covers a significant portion of the inventory investment, thereby reducing costs for airlines. Fixed annual pricing for parts enables precise cost management, allowing airlines to enhance inventory efficiency with guaranteed performance levels from Embraer Services & Support. Additionally, the operation employs a data-driven approach, generating weekly ordering recommendations based on customer usage and stock levels through advanced software alongside Embraer’s collaborative planning expertise. All airlines involved in the ECIP program also gain access to Embraer’s exceptional materials management skills and a robust global logistics network, ensuring top-tier service performance.
