Q2 2026: KONGSBERG delivers a strong second quarter with increased revenue and solid profitability

Significant Order Intake Across Divisions

KONGSBERG has reported a robust order intake for the second quarter, primarily driven by the Joint Strike Missile (JSM). Three separate JSM contracts were secured during this period, as business activity remained high across various products and divisions.

According to company CEO Geir Håøy, “The quarter saw several significant contract awards, as well as increased sales to the United States and Germany, while Canada became the sixth nation to select the missile.”

Furthermore, Canada announced its decision to enter negotiations with Norway and Germany regarding the acquisition of 212CD submarines, with KONGSBERG serving as a key partner and the supplier of the onboard combat system.

In addition, Belgium has recently opted for NASAMS, and KONGSBERG announced a major agreement valued at approximately USD 400 million with Raytheon for the delivery of NASAMS air defense systems to Kuwait. This contract will be included in the order intake upon formalization.

Rising Demand from Allied Nations

KONGSBERG’s industry-leading offerings in missiles, air defense, and remote weapon stations are critical in addressing the pressing defense challenges faced by nations today.

Håøy noted, “We are experiencing growing interest in security both below the sea surface and in space, areas where KONGSBERG is well positioned. During the quarter, we signed a contract with an undisclosed international customer for the monitoring and protection of critical subsea infrastructure.”
