COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Aug. 25, 2026 – The United States Air Force Academy has announced that it will showcase a unique uniform inspired by the B-21 Raider during its 10th annual Air Power Legacy Series (APLS). This new design, a collaboration with Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), is set to honor the Air Force’s next-generation stealth bomber, the B-21 Raider, touted as the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft. The uniforms will debut on October 3rd, when the Air Force Falcons take on the Navy Midshipmen in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The uniforms are a creative interpretation of the B-21 Raider’s sleek form, incorporating elements of its advanced stealth technology and Air Force aviation heritage. This aesthetic will not only be celebrated on the cadets’ uniforms but will also be featured on various merchandise and throughout Falcon Stadium.

Tom Jones, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, commented on the significance of this initiative: “There’s something powerful about seeing the future of American airpower represented on the uniforms of cadets who are themselves the future of our Air Force. The B-21 Raider is designed to evolve and stay ahead of future threats, giving our Airmen a decisive advantage against any adversary. As we accelerate production to deliver this warfighting capability, these uniforms celebrate the partnership between Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Air Force in support of the B-21 and its critical mission.”

The B-21 Raider itself embodies the cutting-edge capabilities necessary for modern warfare. It is a sixth-generation, long-range, penetrating strike aircraft that will serve as the backbone of America’s future bomber force. Built for high-threat environments, the B-21 promises to deliver adaptable, networked strike capabilities that enhance strategic deterrence and modernize the force. With advanced stealth features and resilient networking, it ensures that the Joint Force maintains a decisive advantage in increasingly complex battlefields. Currently, multiple B-21 Raider aircraft are in flight testing, showcasing outstanding performance that meets rigorous expectations. The Combined Test Force, comprising both Northrop Grumman and Air Force personnel, exemplifies successful collaboration between government and industry, aiming to deliver essential capabilities to the warfighter expediently.
