L3Harris Signs Transformational Agreement to Drastically Increase Production for PAC-3 MSE

MELBOURNE, Fla., July 27, 2026 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has entered into a groundbreaking framework agreement with the Department of War (DoW) and Lockheed Martin, aiming to significantly enhance the production capabilities for the PAC-3® Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE). This agreement utilizes the government’s multi-year procurement authorities to establish a long-term contract, marking a critical move to amplify America’s munition production and fortifying the nation’s Arsenal of Freedom.

Representing L3Harris’ largest PAC-3 propulsion agreement to date, this contract will enable the company to nearly triple its production of various propulsion products vital for the PAC-3 MSE interceptor. A definitive agreement is anticipated to be finalized later this year.

“This essential, long-term agreement will empower us to operate at unprecedented speed and produce PAC-3 propulsion at historically high rates,” stated Ken Bedingfield, President of Missile Solutions at L3Harris. “We are actively gearing up our facilities and suppliers for this increase while also enhancing our capacity to meet the needs of the DoW and our allies, thereby strengthening the Arsenal of Freedom.”

The seven-year framework encompasses the production of the PAC-3 MSE’s advanced two-pulse solid rocket motor, Attitude Control Motors (ACMs), and the Lethality Enhancer, which is designed to enhance the kill radius of the ground-based PAC-3 against various threats, including cruise missiles.

L3Harris’ PAC-3 MSE motor manufacturing facility, located in Camden, Arkansas, features specialized processing bays equipped with improved throughput and automated digital X-ray technology, leading to reduced inspection and cycle times.

In response to the DoW’s push for accelerated munition production, L3Harris is investing billions to construct approximately 60 facilities and is set to add or upgrade nearly 1 million square feet of manufacturing and office space across its solid rocket motor production sites in Alabama, Virginia, and Arkansas.
