Roketsan’s UAV-230 is designed as a versatile and effective air-to-surface ballistic missile, capable of being deployed around the clock to engage a variety of targets. It excels in striking stationary land and sea targets, as well as air defense radar installations and communication systems. Furthermore, it can effectively address lightly armored vehicles, command centers, personnel, and other opportunistic targets.
With an operational range exceeding 150 kilometers, the UAV-230’s effectiveness can vary based on the missile’s release speed and altitude. The missile is equipped with a fragmentation warhead, which can be tailored to tackle different target types effectively. Once the firing preparation process is complete, the system is mission-ready just before deployment from the UAV.
Upon release, the UAV-230 falls freely for a designated interval before autonomously activating its solid fuel engine. Its guidance system, supported by GNSS and inertial navigation, ensures precise targeting, while also providing robustness against jamming efforts. The UAV-230 operates with a fire-and-forget capability, allowing users to engage in critical missions without the need for extensive infiltration into enemy territory.
