Marking a significant moment in the aviation sector, the ILA 2026 will feature the much-anticipated Do228 NXT demonstrator aircraft, making its global debut in the static display area from June 10 to 14, 2026, in Berlin. This esteemed event will unite manufacturers, customers, and suppliers, making it the ideal platform for showcasing the next evolution of the Do228 series.
A World Premiere at Europe’s Premier Aerospace Exhibition
Having successfully completed its inaugural flight and passed all essential tests, the Do228 NXT is set to impress on the international stage. The aircraft is currently adorned with a striking new livery, which will be revealed to aviation enthusiasts and industry stakeholders for the first time at ILA 2026.
Attendees will have the exceptional opportunity to view the Do228 NXT up close in the Static Display area H4/100. Additionally, GA-ATS will showcase its innovations at hall D booth 305.

The Do228 NXT represents the cutting-edge of the renowned Dornier 228 lineage. Featuring a modernized cabin, advanced cockpit upgrades, a robust supply chain, state-of-the-art avionics, improved communication capabilities, and a variety of specialized mission equipment and sensors, the Do228 NXT is designed to meet today’s diverse market needs across multiple operational scenarios.
Thanks to its advanced design, flight performance, and versatile equipment options, the Do228 NXT can be deployed for a wide range of missions, including maritime patrol, surveillance, disaster response, environmental monitoring, and both passenger and cargo transport.
Ready for Global Exposure
The ILA serves as a launching pad for the Do228 NXT’s mission. In the upcoming years, this demonstrator will be leveraged by General Atomics AeroTec Systems for continued flight testing and optimization. It will primarily function as a presentation and demonstration aircraft, aimed at enticing potential buyers worldwide.
Additionally, the Do228 NXT demonstrator will feature prominently at various international trade shows and events. Notably, just a month after ILA, it will make its first international appearance at the Farnborough Airshow in the UK from July 20 to 24, where it will also be displayed in a static format.
Through these endeavors, General Atomics AeroTec Systems aspires to unveil the next-generation aircraft and its remarkable capabilities to the global community.
