MELBOURNE, Fla., May 26, 2026 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has taken significant steps to enhance the global solid rocket motor supply chain by issuing a purchase order to Wojskowe Zaklady Elektroniczne S.A. (WZE), a defense company operated by the Polish government. This order pertains to the production of Attitude Control Motors (ACMs) as a certified supplier for the U.S. Army’s PAC-3 Patriot missile system. In partnership with Lockheed Martin, L3Harris has been actively collaborating with WZE to establish domestic missile component production for Poland’s Wisla air defense initiative.

The purchase order follows the installation of specialized equipment at a new WZE production facility located in Zielonka, Poland, and comprehensive training at L3Harris’ solid rocket motor production campus in Camden, Arkansas. WZE has successfully completed several critical assessments, including a Production Readiness Review, Manufacturing Readiness Review, and Production Line Verification, which positions them to commence low-rate initial production shortly.
The PAC-3 missile, recognized for its mobile, high-velocity interception capabilities, is designed for long-range and medium to high-altitude engagements across various weather conditions. Utilizing hit-to-kill technology, it is capable of neutralizing a wide array of threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft. Each PAC-3 interceptor is equipped with 180 ACMs, which are essential for refining the missile’s trajectory and ensuring a precise body-to-body impact.
Since the inception of the Patriot missile program, L3Harris has remained a key provider of propulsion technology, powering every PAC-3 variant currently in production.
