L3Harris Partners with Naval Air Warfare Center to Increase Tomahawk Production
CHINA LAKE, Calif., Sept. 21, 2026 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) located in China Lake to enhance the production of critical missile components, specifically in support of national defense objectives. This collaboration aims to meet the increasing requirements for vital munitions, including the renowned Raytheon Tomahawk® cruise missile, a product of RTX.
Scott Alexander, President of Propulsion Systems within L3Harris’s Missile Solutions division, remarked, “L3Harris is dedicated to maintaining high-quality propulsion production to assist both current military operations and future combat requirements. Working closely with our U.S. Navy collaborators strengthens the supply chain and allows us to broaden our manufacturing capabilities to address urgent national security mission needs.”

L3Harris has a longstanding history of supporting Tomahawk production, which spans over three decades. The company is recognized for its expertise in manufacturing essential components for the Tomahawk missile, such as the Mk 135 solid propellant booster and the blast-fragmentation warhead.
Furthermore, L3Harris previously announced a similar collaborative agreement with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division aimed at boosting the production of Mk 104 solid dual thrust rocket motors, which serve as the propulsion for the second stage of Raytheon’s Standard Missile program.
