
Turkish Aerospace Student Project Teams Support Program – TUSAS
Turkish Aerospace Student Project Teams Support Program aims to bolster technology-oriented R&D and innovation initiatives proposed by university student project teams. The program provides financial backing and industry consultancy to aid these projects.
Eligibility Criteria for Student Project Teams
Student project teams must: be affiliated with a recognized Student Society within their university that is engaged in the relevant field of the project.
Necessary Application Documents
- Project Proposal Form
- Society Introduction File: A document outlining the Society’s areas of focus, mission, vision, and past projects.
- Rectorate Approval Letter: A letter confirming the validity of the Student Society and providing details of the Society President and Academic Advisor.
- An Official Document confirming the student members belong to the Society.
- Resumes of all Project Team members.
- Transcripts of the Project Team members.
Application Method
The Project Academic Advisor (Project Coordinator) must submit the Project Proposal Form to usi@tai.com.tr during the application months of November or February.
Application Requirements
- Project teams must be part of a Student Society that has a focus on the project area.
- The project must include at least one undergraduate, one graduate, and a Project Advisor (Project Coordinator) from the Society.
- Teams must consist of a minimum of five students.
- If applying for Turkish Aerospace sponsorship, teams must not have previously received support for similar projects.
- Late applications may be accepted under certain conditions, including prior project experience or specific academic achievements.
Evaluation Criteria
- Quality and innovation of the project R&D.
- The project’s potential benefits to Turkish Aerospace.
- Ability to produce qualified human resources.
- Potential for research results to be utilized in future Turkish Aerospace projects.
Project Duration
- The maximum duration for a project is 12 months.
Budget
- A budget maximum of six times the gross minimum wage is available, excluding the agency’s share.

- Machinery and Equipment
- Consumables
- Service Procurement
- Agency Share
A negotiation/start-up meeting will take place involving the Project Team, the Industry Consultant, and other relevant experts to finalize the project topic and scope before commencing work.
