Elbit Systems’ FUSE Acquired Blue White Robotics Ltd., Expanding its Autonomous and Robotics Portfolio | Elbit Systems
Elbit Systems Ltd.’s FUSE has successfully acquired Blue White Robotics Ltd., an Israeli firm specializing in AI-powered autonomous solutions tailored for critical off-road and defense applications. This acquisition, which involved the purchase of 100% of Bluewhite’s shares, represents a strategic move in expanding FUSE’s capabilities.
Founded in 2017 and based in Tel Aviv, Bluewhite has pioneered an innovative off-road autonomy platform that offers versatile, OEM-agnostic solutions. Their flagship products include Pathfinder, an autonomy kit designed to transform conventional vehicles into fully autonomous units, and Compass, a cloud-based fleet operations software. These innovations enable ground vehicles to function as intelligent, autonomous fleets capable of carrying out complex missions in challenging environments. With over 100,000 cumulative autonomous operating hours across various agricultural and defense applications, Bluewhite’s technology is mature, boasting a technology readiness level (TRL) of 8–9 and proven deployments in both civil and military sectors.
The acquisition significantly enhances FUSE’s multi-domain autonomy portfolio, complementing its existing unmanned aerial and swarm technologies. This integration equips FUSE with greater capability to provide advanced robotic solutions and manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) approaches, meeting the diverse needs of defense and homeland security customers globally.
“Autonomy and robotics are reshaping how defense forces operate today,” remarked Eyal Dahan, CEO of FUSE. “The rapid changes in the world and the modern battlefield necessitate the widespread adoption of robotic capabilities. By incorporating Bluewhite’s technologies into FUSE’s multi-domain ecosystem, we enhance our capacity to deliver unified autonomous solutions across air, land, and indoor environments. This integration positions FUSE to meet the increasing global demand for scalable, AI-powered autonomy.”
“This marks an exciting new chapter for our technology and team,” stated Ben Alfi, CEO of Bluewhite. “Our mission has always focused on delivering practical autonomy in the field. Joining forces with FUSE and Elbit Systems provides us with a unique platform to scale our AI-driven ground autonomy technology across defense, security, and industrial applications. I am confident that the combination of Bluewhite’s proven autonomy capabilities and Elbit Systems’ advanced technologies and operational experience will expedite the deployment of intelligent autonomous systems in some of the world’s most demanding environments.”
