At DVD 2026, Team Wolf, a collaboration between Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK, proudly unveiled the Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf as the latest members of its tactical mobility solutions aimed at addressing the evolving mobility demands of the British Army.
Joining the ranks of Shadow Wolf and Caracal, Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf showcase the extensive capabilities of Team Wolf’s lineup. This comprehensive family of tactical mobility solutions is designed for operational versatility while ensuring a high level of commonality across the fleet.
Built on the proven Mercedes-Benz G-Class platform, which serves as the Common Base Platform, Team Wolf effortlessly combines Mercedes-Benz’s reputation for reliable vehicle engineering with Rheinmetall’s advanced military integration and mission-system capabilities. This partnership aims to deliver effective capability support within the UK.
One Fleet. Many Missions.
The core principle of Team Wolf is simple: one fleet capable of executing multiple missions.
Team Wolf offers a versatile family of vehicles, including those designed for mobility, command, ambulance, troop transport, sustainment, and specialized roles. The commonality of chassis, systems, interfaces, training, and support across the fleet streamlines operations while enhancing maintainability.
This integrated approach aims to simplify training, maintenance, and overall fleet sustainment, ultimately promoting higher availability and operational readiness throughout the fleet’s lifecycle.
Rebecca Richards, Managing Director of Rheinmetall UK, stated: “The unveiling of Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf marks an exciting advancement for Team Wolf, demonstrating that the Wolf Pack encompasses significantly more than individual vehicles. We are presenting a cohesive family of tactical mobility solutions that prioritize commonality, operational readiness, and adaptability to the British Army’s evolving needs. Rheinmetall UK’s expertise in military integration and mission system capabilities enables us to transform a proven platform into combat-ready solutions. By engineering, integrating, supporting, and evolving the Wolf Pack within the UK, we are investing in British skills, suppliers, and industrial capabilities while providing the Army with a fleet that remains relevant and prepared for action throughout its service life.”
Olivier Reppert, CEO & Managing Director at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK, added: “For over 45 years, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has demonstrated its reliability in the most demanding environments. With Team Wolf, we provide a robust, adaptable vehicle foundation that allows Rheinmetall UK to develop specialized solutions for the British Army. This partnership exemplifies a synergistic collaboration of proven Mercedes-Benz technology with Rheinmetall’s specialized defense expertise.”
Built for Britain. Ready for the Mission.
Central to Team Wolf’s mission is a dedication to promoting British industry and capability.
The Wolf Pack will be designed, integrated, supported, and evolved at Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) located in Telford, leveraging local workforce skills, resources, and domestic supply chains to deliver sustained capability for the British Army.
Targeting up to 50% UK content, Team Wolf will engage 30 UK suppliers, including SMEs from regions across the country, thereby creating hundreds of British jobs. This approach not only aims to furnish vehicles but also to establish essential sovereign skills, industrial capabilities, and resilient supply chains to support the fleet in the long run—advancing the UK’s strategic push for enhanced warfighting readiness while bolstering British industry.
Common Support. Built for the Long Term.
Team Wolf’s proposition extends beyond merely delivering vehicles.
The Wolf Pack is supported by a comprehensive through-life support strategy that unites the expertise of Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK with domestic capabilities and the extensive reach of a global support network.
This strategy, dedicated to fleet readiness, is designed to provide over 20 years of support, maximizing vehicle availability while outlining a clear pathway for upgrades and capability advancements throughout the program’s life.
The introduction of Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf, alongside existing models Shadow Wolf and Caracal at DVD 2026, solidifies the Wolf Pack as a cohesive family characterized by established mobility, operational flexibility, commonality, and enduring readiness.
