Roketsan – Roketsan Strengthens Collaborations in Indonesia: Two New Contracts Signed
Roketsan, a distinguished entity in the Turkish defense sector, has taken significant strides in its collaboration with Indonesia by formalizing two impactful contracts during Indo Defence, one of the largest defense exhibitions in Southeast Asia.
Held from June 11-14 in Jakarta, the Indo Defence exhibition featured a wide array of regional and global defense industry players. Roketsan showcased its advanced air, land, and sea defense systems, while simultaneously signing contracts that fortify its partnership with Indonesia. The agreements, established on June 11 at Indo Defence 2025, underscore the strategic alignment and mutual vision shared between Roketsan and PT Republik Defence Indonesia (RDI) concerning technology transfer, capability enhancement, and regional security initiatives.
The initial contract, signed between Roketsan and PT RDI, involves the procurement of the ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile and the associated ATMACA Weapon System. This agreement is poised to augment defense ties between Türkiye and Indonesia, significantly contributing to Indonesia’s naval power modernization.
The second contract marks the beginning of a planned Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) between Roketsan and PT RDI. This initiative aims to cultivate local capabilities in Indonesia for the assembly, domestic production, and sustainability of missile technologies, ultimately working towards diminishing the country’s long-term dependence on foreign defense providers.
During the signing ceremony, Roketsan’s CEO, Murat İkinci, remarked, “The contracts signed today once again demonstrate the strong progress of our cooperation with PT RDI. We are immensely proud to contribute to Indonesia’s defense modernization and to lay the groundwork for long-term industrial collaborations. In the period ahead, we will continue to strengthen our defense industry cooperation with Indonesia, our friendly and allied nation, and continue to represent our country across the globe.”
