Elbit Systems Sweden Successfully Completes One of Europe’s Largest Live Field-Demonstrations of a Digitalized Land Force Network | Elbit Systems

Elbit Systems Sweden AB has successfully concluded one of Europe’s largest live demonstrations of a digitalized land force network. Over the course of two weeks, the company conducted a series of 120-node live demonstrations, showcasing integrated, digitized land force networking under realistic field conditions.

Attended by participants from various European nations, NATO member states, international partners, and leading OEM collaborators, these demonstrations connected operational elements, vehicles, sensors, and soldiers into unified digital networks. Each daily event presented a comprehensive set of operational scenarios, showcasing the system’s multi-domain connectivity, NATO interoperability, cross-domain integration, and real-time mission coordination from headquarters to the tactical edge.

Building on its extensive experience in advanced command, control, and communication solutions, Elbit Systems featured its end-to-end Digitalization Solution operating across a 120-node tactical network. This solution was powered by the E-LynX™ Software Defined Radio (SDR) family, the Torch-X™ Battle Management System, and the TIGER-X Command and Control architecture, all of which are field proven and widely deployed in modernization programs across Europe and worldwide.

During the live exercises, reconnaissance drones, command posts, armored vehicles, and dismounted soldiers maintained real-time voice, video, and data connectivity across the network. Commanders were able to monitor the evolving battlefield picture and issue digital maneuver orders, while soldiers at the tactical edge shared intelligence and positional data. These exercises illustrated how Elbit Systems’ digitized framework transforms connectivity into operational advantage, delivering resilient communications, automation, and interoperability with NATO and third-party command and control systems, as well as commercial communication systems like Starlink.

“This campaign represents a significant milestone for Elbit Systems Sweden and for the ongoing digitalization of European land forces,” stated Tobias Wennberg, CEO of Elbit Systems Sweden. “The successful demonstration of connecting diverse platforms—from sensors and soldiers to vehicles and command posts—into one fast, flexible, secure network is a testament to our years of accumulated experience and operational know-how gained globally. Elbit Systems is well-positioned to support European and NATO customers seeking to transform their forces into fully digital, networked armies.”

The successful results from these demonstrations underline how scalable, open architecture communication systems can enhance coordination, situational awareness, and command effectiveness across all echelons of a modern fighting force.

Core Systems Featured in the Demonstration
