Largest Space Pavilion | Innovation & Global Collaboration in Space Technology | Dubai Airshow

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – 21 October 2025: The Dubai Airshow 2025 (DAS25) is set to showcase its largest-ever Space Pavilion, developed in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency, which stands as one of the Airshow’s key strategic partners.

The five-day space program aims to bring together international space agencies, innovative space technology companies, startups, investors, and academic institutions to address challenges, foster collaboration, and further the commercialisation of space technologies.

“The UAE’s ambitious space initiatives are intricately aligned with our national priorities of driving economic diversification and establishing the UAE as a global hub of innovation. The Space Pavilion at Dubai Airshow accelerates our ability to forge cross-sector partnerships, strengthen bilateral and multilateral ties, and attract foreign investment into our burgeoning space economy. As we strive to contribute to the sustainable growth of the global space economy – projected to exceed US$1 trillion by 2040 – we remain committed to shaping the future of international space collaboration, ensuring our space sector remains inclusive, innovative and interconnected,” said H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sport and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency.

The centerpiece of DAS25 will be the two-day Space Conference, scheduled for 17–18 November on the Aerospace 2050 Stage. This event will gather over 50 global experts, astronauts, and industry leaders to discuss responsible space use, cutting-edge technologies, future exploration missions, and investment priorities shaping the space economy.

Notable participants include Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp, who will engage in a fireside chat at the Space Conference on 17 November. His involvement underscores the Airshow’s commitment to uniting leaders in space exploration and innovation.

The conference roster will feature prominent figures such as Juan Andres Caro from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Mariel Borowitz from NASA, Chris White-Horne from the UK Space Agency, Jonathan Hung from Singapore’s Office for Space Technology & Industry, Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri from the Bahrain Space Agency, and several others.

In addition to the conference, DAS25 will provide interactive experiences that bring space exploration to life for attendees. Astronaut Encounters with Dr. Sian Leo Proctor and Claude Nicollier will engage audiences through talks, student sessions, and meet-and-greet opportunities. The event will also incorporate the Vista startup platform to connect space entrepreneurs with investors through pitch competitions and mentorship programs. A highlight will be the OrbitX: Agile Space Systems Challenge, launched in partnership with FADA and EDGE Group, encouraging startups to develop next-generation micro-satellite systems.

The UAE’s vision for a Space Economic Zone will further enhance the entrepreneurial focus of the event, creating a dedicated ecosystem for global space companies and fostering investment into commercial space ventures. The NextGen Leaders program and Youth Circles, organized in partnership with the Federal Youth Authority, aim to inspire young talent to pursue careers in science, technology, and space innovation.

“Dubai Airshow 2025 represents a pivotal platform for international collaboration in space. By bringing together leading agencies, companies, and innovators, we are strengthening the UAE’s role as a global hub for space exploration and commercialisation. This reflects our National Space Strategy 2030 and our ambition to advance technologies that address real-world challenges on Earth and beyond,” stated H.E. Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency.

The space-tech market across the Middle East and Africa is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.1% through 2030, with the UAE emerging as a key player through various projects such as the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt and the development of a constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites.

H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), reflected: “The largest-ever Space Pavilion at Dubai Airshow 2025 highlights the significance of space as a catalyst for innovation and economic opportunity. It also serves as a platform for exploring partnerships that will strengthen the space ecosystem and inspire future explorers.”

Collaboration forms the cornerstone of the UAE’s space ambitions. H.E. Ali Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Global Satellite Operator’s Association, noted, “As we strive to position the UAE as a global leader in space innovation, fostering effective partnerships is essential for translating technological capabilities into impactful solutions for our world. Space42’s contributions in AI-driven satellite communications will bolster our national position in the evolving global space economy.”

Dubai Airshow 2025 is set to serve as a catalyst for scientific advancement, global partnerships, and workforce development, creating valuable opportunities for startups, agencies, and space entities alike.

Confirmed participants include the UAE Space Agency, MBRSC, Space42, FADA, TII, Airbus, and various international agencies such as the European Space Agency and the UK Space Agency.

UAE innovators will be a focal point at the Space Pavilion, displaying transformative technologies that underscore the nation’s prominence in the global space economy. Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), stated, “At the Dubai Airshow, we are thrilled to showcase advancements in space propulsion and satellite technologies that reflect Abu Dhabi’s vision for space exploration. Our exhibits will highlight innovations with meaningful real-world impact.”
