US Army Awards L3Harris NGC2 Manpack Radio Delivery Orders

ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 9, 2026 — L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has secured delivery orders totaling $84 million from the U.S. Army for the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) manpack Falcon® systems. The AN/PRC-158C systems feature high-throughput Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) and resilient waveforms for reliable communications across various operational conditions.

This latest award marks L3Harris’ second contract related to the NGC2 initiative, following a previous $24 million order announced in October. The manpack systems will integrate into the program’s transport layer, which includes a range of networks, communication pathways, and data-delivery technologies designed to facilitate information exchange between sensors, shooters, and command-and-control systems.

“Our Falcon Advanced Data Node gateways have proven their effectiveness in deployed scenarios worldwide and, equipped with software-defined architectures, are prepared to address the evolving challenges and threats faced by soldiers,” stated Chris Aebli, President, Mission Critical Communications, Communications & Spectrum Dominance, L3Harris. “We are committed to continuous investment and innovation in both our system capabilities and production capacities to serve our global customers, aligning with the U.S. Department of War’s commercial-first acquisition strategy.”

The communication systems are tailored to meet the requirements for multi-transport gateways essential for enabling NGC2, featuring capabilities such as air-to-ground networking, routing, MANETs, In-Line Encryption, and Sensitive But Unclassified – Encrypted waveforms.
