Roketsan Made a Powerful Impact at IDEF 2025 with the Debut of Cutting-Edge Defense Systems
Roketsan, Türkiye’s premier company leading the global charge in rocket, missile, and munition technologies, showcased an impressive array of advanced defense systems at IDEF 2025, held in Istanbul. The participation marked a significant demonstration of Türkiye’s capabilities in the defense sector on the international stage.
The 17th edition of the International Defense Industry Fair, IDEF 2025, commenced on July 22 and continued through July 27 at the Istanbul Expo Center. Organized under the auspices of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence and supported by various governmental entities, the event gathered the foremost contributors from both Türkiye’s defense industry and global players.
Roketsan made a striking impression at the exhibition, displaying over 60 defense systems, many of which were presented for the first time. The Roketsan booth was a hub for significant announcements, including the official launches of new systems alongside several high-value signing ceremonies with domestic and international partners.
With a robust and experienced team on hand, Roketsan welcomed numerous visitors, including industry professionals, government officials, and military delegations, welcoming the opportunity to expand its global partnerships and explore collaborative ventures.
CEO Murat İkinci commented on the importance of Roketsan’s presence at IDEF 2025, emphasizing the company’s continual commitment to research, development, and production aimed at ensuring a fully independent Türkiye. “Roketsan has established itself as a global brand in rocket, missile, and munition technologies. Through robust R&D initiatives, we are advancing new technologies that enhance the deterrence and operational capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces,” he stated.
He highlighted the increasing military conflicts and security crises in the region, reaffirming the urgency of bolstering Türkiye’s defense capabilities. In light of these threats, Roketsan, alongside its Turkish partners, is advancing the construction of the ‘Steel Dome,’ an advanced air defense system designed to protect the nation’s airspace under a comprehensive security framework.
Roketsan’s extensive portfolio includes precision-guided munitions for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), anti-tank missiles, air defense and cruise missiles, as well as naval systems and artillery solutions. Each of these technologies is integral to the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory, underscoring Roketsan’s commitment to fortifying the nation’s defense.
As the Republic approaches its second centenary, İkinci noted that IDEF 2025 serves as an invaluable platform to highlight the advancements made within Türkiye’s defense sector. He indicated that the exhibition is witnessing contracts worth billions of dollars with various partners, reinforcing Roketsan’s pledge to enhance national defense capabilities comprehensively.
At IDEF, Roketsan presented over 60 proven defense systems, showcasing their performance superiority against global counterparts and their status in the inventories of both the Turkish Armed Forces and numerous advanced military forces worldwide. The debut of six new products at IDEF further exemplified the advanced state of Turkish defense technology, representing the ingenuity of Turkish engineers on this prominent global stage.
