Elbit Systems Awarded Approximately $200 Million in Contracts for Airborne ISTAR and Training Solutions in Asia-Pacific | Elbit Systems

Elbit Systems Ltd. has officially announced the awarding of contracts valued at approximately $200 million from a nation in the Asia-Pacific region. These contracts are designated for the provision of airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) and training solutions, with a performance period extending up to five years.

As part of this agreement, Elbit Systems will deliver the SPECTRO™ 12, a state-of-the-art multispectral ISR and targeting payload intended for integration onto helicopters. The SPECTRO 12 represents the latest innovation within Elbit Systems’ SPECTRO range, featuring a compact multispectral payload tailored for platforms that face stringent size, weight, and power restrictions. This advanced system integrates high-resolution multispectral sensing with precision targeting technologies, including a laser designator, and employs AI-driven image processing to facilitate long-range target detection, identification, tracking, and engagement, even in complex operational contexts and adverse weather conditions.

The contracts also encompass follow-on support and upgrade services for airborne live training systems. These systems, which are installed on various aircraft, enable live virtual constructive and virtual combat training scenarios. They provide realistic air-to-air and air-to-ground training options, including real-time combat simulation, weapon scoring, and mission debriefing functionalities that enhance pilot readiness and training efficacy.

Moreover, Elbit Systems will supply cutting-edge Head-Up Display (HUD) systems. These HUDs incorporate high-resolution display technologies, augmented video capabilities, and optimized power consumption, facilitating operations both day and night across a diverse range of airborne platforms.

Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems: “Elbit Systems’ airborne solutions integrate advanced technologies with extensive operational knowledge across varied mission scenarios. We take pride in offering our clients innovative capabilities that enhance mission efficiency, situational awareness, and operational preparedness across a wide spectrum of airborne operations.”
