BRUSSELS, Oct. 27, 2026 — Lockheed Martin, in partnership with the United States Government, has announced plans for a new PAC-3® Missile Maintenance Facility (MMF) in Poland. This initiative marks a significant enhancement to NATO’s integrated air and missile defense capabilities across Europe.

The PAC-3 MMF will serve NATO Allies operating PAC-3 interceptors, providing onsite repair, refurbishment, lifecycle support, and re-certification. This facility is set to improve resupply timelines and facilitate integrated testing, reinforcing the allied defense posture.

The establishment of the facility highlights the robust transatlantic industrial partnership among Lockheed Martin, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United States, and Poland, further strengthening the supply chain for missile defense systems.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control President Tim Cahill emphasized the company’s commitment to Europe, stating, “For more than 75 years, Lockheed Martin has been a trusted partner to Europe, enhancing regional sustainment and accelerating the delivery of critical missile defense capabilities. The PAC-3 MMF is a crucial part of that partnership, ensuring these advanced defense systems are available when and where needed. “

Additionally, the new facility will integrate seamlessly with Poland’s defense industrial ecosystem, fostering high-skill job creation, expanding opportunities for local suppliers, and investing in community resilience to fortify the allied industrial base.

Jay Pitman, President of Lockheed Martin International, remarked, “Lockheed Martin is a permanent part of Europe’s security landscape. Our growing presence here reinforces European collective strength and prosperity. This facility deepens our industrial partnerships in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden, enhancing supply chain resilience and investment in shared defense capabilities for the future.”

Lockheed Martin remains dedicated to supporting Europe’s security, emphasizing the importance of a resilient and autonomous defense ecosystem. The company is committed to advancing capacity and partnerships across Europe that ensure deterrence and interoperability into the future.

The demand for the PAC-3 MSE, recognized as the world’s most advanced air and missile defense interceptor, is on the rise, spurred by its proven combat performance. Earlier this year, the U.S. government awarded Lockheed Martin $58.62 billion for continued PAC-3 MSE production, a move that underscores the need for advanced defense capabilities among U.S. allies.
