
Roketsan – Roketsan and Sefine Shipyard Collaborate to Bolster Indonesia’s Naval Defense
Roketsan, Türkiye’s renowned expert in rocket, missile, and ammunition technologies, has entered into a contract with Sefine Shipyard for the integration of the ATMACA Weapon System onto two naval platforms designated for the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. This milestone agreement underscores the growing defense cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia and was formally signed during the Indo Defence exhibition.
The Indo Defence exhibition, which took place in Jakarta from June 11-14, showcased a wide array of advanced air, land, and sea defense systems, among which Roketsan’s capabilities were prominently featured. The partnership with Sefine Shipyard, a key player in Türkiye’s shipbuilding sector, marks a significant advancement in enhancing Indonesia’s naval capabilities.
During the contract signing, Murat İkinci, CEO of Roketsan, remarked, “This event demonstrates our joint determination with Sefine to contribute to Indonesia’s naval capabilities by delivering effective and reliable missile integration. This collaboration also reaffirms Türkiye’s strength in the defense industry and its commitment to international partnerships. In the coming period, we will continue to meet the short and long-term defense needs of our friendly and allied nation Indonesia with new projects and collaborations, and proudly represent our country in different geographies.”
This contract not only highlights Türkiye’s expertise in military shipbuilding and missile technologies but also plays a crucial role in bolstering defense industry ties between the two nations.
