Dassault Aviation welcomes the annulment of the exclusion of business aviation manufacturing from the European green taxonomy
(Saint-Cloud, France, June 24, 2026) – The European General Court has ruled to annul the 2023 decision by the European Commission that excluded the manufacturing of business aircraft from the European green taxonomy. This significant ruling acknowledges the unique characteristics and essential role of business aviation.
The court highlighted that the Commission’s prior decision overlooked the specific attributes of business aviation, including its flexibility, speed, and connectivity, which are crucial for various missions.
Additionally, the ruling pointed out that the Commission did not adequately consider the potential for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) to be utilized within this sector.
