The “Bundles of Joy” day care centre stands as a testament to Rheinmetall’s dedication to the community of Macassar. As a charitable, non-profit organization, the center is entirely operated by the local community, showcasing Rheinmetall’s ongoing commitment to socioeconomic development in the vicinity of its Somerset West site.
This initiative not only caters to the care and well-being of children from various social backgrounds but has also resulted in the creation of 24 new jobs within the region. Rheinmetall currently employs approximately 1,300 individuals at its Somerset West facility, contributing to a total workforce of around 2,500 across its five locations in South Africa.
