Bridgeport, West Virginia facility to overhaul PT6A-68 engines for the T-6 trainer
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va., July 20, 2026 – Pratt & Whitney Canada has secured a significant nine-year, $1 billion contract from V2X Inc. for the overhaul of over 750 PT6A-68 engines that power the U.S. Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) T-6 trainer fleet. Pratt & Whitney is a division of RTX (NYSE: RTX).
This contract was issued under V2X’s T-6 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) agreement, reflecting the enduring collaboration between the two companies in providing sustainment support for the T-6 aircraft.

The Bridgeport facility of Pratt & Whitney Canada has been a key player in PT6A-68 maintenance, repair, and overhaul for more than 40 years, ensuring mission-critical engine sustainment for global operators. This award highlights the facility’s proven performance, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence, having been awarded similar contracts for the U.S. government previously.
