Changes to the Saab Group Management team

Saab Group has announced significant changes to its management team, effective immediately.

Anders Carp, who has been serving as the deputy CEO and overseeing multiple corporate functions, will step into the role of head of Saab’s business area Dynamics. His new responsibilities will include focusing on the robust growth of the Dynamics portfolio, alongside overseeing deliveries and innovation as the division enters its next phase. Carp will continue to serve as deputy CEO.

Görgen Johansson, the current head of the Dynamics business area, will exit the Group Management team while transitioning to serve as a strategic advisor to Saab’s CEO and President, Micael Johansson. “I would like to sincerely thank Görgen for his time in Saab’s Group Management team. He has led business area Dynamics in an excellent way for the past 13 years, and the level of growth achieved during this time is truly impressive. I am also glad that Görgen, with his vast experience, will continue to bring value to Saab in his new role as strategic advisor to me,” said Micael Johansson.

Marcus Wandt, currently leading Group Strategy and Technology, has been appointed as the new head of Saab’s Aeronautics business area. Wandt brings a diverse background as a fighter pilot, chief test pilot, and astronaut, along with experience in leading Saab’s innovation, strategy, and technology functions, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of operational and technical leadership.

Lars Tossman, who currently heads the Aeronautics business area, will take on a new role as head of Group Strategy and Growth, while remaining a member of the Group Management team. Tossman will be responsible for driving business development and strategy initiatives to foster continued growth and expansion for Saab.

Moreover, Mikael Adelsberg, Saab’s Chief Digital Officer, will take on additional responsibilities for the company’s IT operations starting October 1.
