SUBANG, Malaysia, June 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Collins Aerospace, a business unit of RTX (NYSE: RTX), has significantly expanded its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities at the Subang Aerotech Park in Malaysia. This $63 million investment has increased the Selangor facility’s footprint from 46,000 square feet to an impressive 164,000 square feet, positioning Subang as a central hub for advanced component MRO in the region.
The transition to the newly expanded facility is expected to be finalized by the end of this year, giving Collins Aerospace the capacity to accommodate the anticipated doubling of MRO demand in the Asia-Pacific region over the next twenty years.

The expanded facility will introduce advanced MRO capabilities for various aircraft components, including air cycle machines, heat exchangers, valves, and new generation starters. It will also utilize cutting-edge technologies such as digital tier boards, eAndon, autonomous mobile robots, and real-time location systems to boost productivity and reduce turnaround times.
Designed for long-term operational resilience, the facility features a smart building management system that optimizes resource and utility usage. Integrated safety systems and a scalable platform will enable ongoing improvements, while the new equipment is engineered with an emphasis on ergonomics and reduced environmental impact.
