Lockheed Martin Wins MDA Contract to Modernize Missile Defense Modeling & Simulation Platform
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., 11 Aug. 2026 – Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a contract by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to develop, enhance, and sustain the agency’s Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). This virtual testing environment is integral to the United States’ missile defense system and is termed the M&S Vistas Framework.
Utilizing Lockheed Martin’s investments in digital transformation and collaborating closely with MDA’s Directorate of Engineering — a key driver of digital advancements throughout the agency — the M&S Vistas Framework aims to deliver a cutting-edge capability for missile defense.

This initiative is expected to bolster layered homeland missile defense capabilities by enhancing the integration of design, implementation, and testing functions.
