Thales reports its 2026 half-year results

Thales has announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, showcasing remarkable commercial momentum.

The group achieved an order intake of €12.5 billion, marking a 21% increase compared to the previous year, with organic growth at 22%.

Sales also grew, reaching €10.9 billion, a 6.7% increase from last year; organic sales growth stood at 7.8% and 9.6% when excluding non-recurring items.

In terms of profitability, Thales reported an adjusted EBIT of €1,372 million, up 9.9% from last year, with an organic growth rate of 11.4%. The adjusted EBIT margin for this period was 12.5%.

Additionally, the adjusted net income attributable to the Group reached €990 million, a substantial 13% increase year-on-year. Free operating cash flow generated was remarkable at €1,865 million, significantly higher than €499 million during the same period last year.

Thales confirmed its financial targets for 2026, further emphasizing the upbeat outlook with several targets revised upward on July 3, 2026. These objectives include:

  • Book-to-bill ratio above 1.1
  • Organic sales growth projected between 6% and 7%
  • Adjusted EBIT margin expected between 12.6% and 12.8%
  • Conversion rate into free operating cash flow expected between 100% and 110%

Thales’ Board of Directors convened on July 22, 2026, to evaluate the financial statements for this period. According to Patrice Caine, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, “The first half of 2026 confirms Thales’ commercial momentum, financial strength and resilience, with all financial indicators up: order intake (+22%), sales (+7.8%) and Adjusted EBIT (+11.4%), on an organic basis.” He noted that Thales’ products and solutions, supported by security and innovation, continue to gain relevance globally.
