L3Harris Signs Agreement with CTM for Tactical Communications Production in Poland

L3Harris, a leading global technology firm, has signed a significant agreement with CTM that marks a continuation of their earlier cooperation agreement from 2023. This new partnership signifies an important step in enhancing industrial collaboration between L3Harris and prominent leaders within the Polish defense sector.

Utilizing its vast international network of facilities, L3Harris is poised to deliver real-time regional support, backed by a comprehensive enterprise grounded in insight and innovation.

Christopher Aebli, President of Communications & Spectrum Dominance at L3Harris, highlighted the importance of such agreements, stating, “Agreements like this create lasting value by deepening collaboration with local industry, growing the skilled workforce and strengthening sovereign defense capabilities.”

At the forefront of this technological collaboration is the WIDMO system, a battle-proven solution that enhances resilient, software-defined communications for dismounted soldiers. This system is designed to be fully interoperable with nearly all Polish land and airborne platforms, facilitating seamless network integration with Poland’s Battle Management Systems.

With over 30,000 radio systems already supplied to Ukraine, L3Harris’ solutions have demonstrated their effectiveness in combat scenarios, instilling confidence in their reliability and resilience, particularly in the face of advanced electronic warfare challenges.

Magdalena Radzyminski, Regional Managing Director of L3Harris, expressed pride in the company’s longstanding support of the Polish Armed Forces, noting, “We are proud of the legacy we have built in supporting the Polish Armed Forces, with over 12,500 radio systems currently in service across the nation. We are equally proud to expand that support into the future through local production of these systems. We look forward to continuing to strengthen Poland’s defense and industrial capabilities over many years to come.”

L3Harris is committed to delivering sophisticated communication systems to nations worldwide, including Poland and all NATO allies. Their advanced security architecture is designed to protect both devices and networks, with software-defined radios that are certified for communications up to NATO Secret and capable of utilizing the European Secure Software Defined Radio (ESSOR) waveform.

With L3Harris’ fully operational and high-volume production lines, the firm ensures the timely delivery of state-of-the-art radios, perfectly aligned with the needs of the Polish Armed Forces as they expand their force size to 300,000 troops.
