Istanbul Set to Host 2026 Global Summit on Defense and Aerospace as Türkiye Elevates Its Strategic Industry Influence
SAHA 2026: The Premier International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition
Join us at the SAHA 2026, the International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition hosted by SAHA Istanbul, scheduled for May 5 to 9, 2026, at the Istanbul Expo Center. This landmark event will gather over 1,700 companies, official delegations, procurement leaders, and experts from various sectors across an expansive 110,000-square-metre exhibition area. Designed to serve as a vital marketplace and strategic meeting ground, SAHA 2026 will enable stakeholders in defence and aerospace to reassess supply chains, security partnerships, and access to cutting-edge technologies.
The exhibition builds on the tremendous success of its predecessor. In 2024, SAHA EXPO attracted 1,478 firms from more than 120 nations, resulting in over 25,000 organized business engagements, 133 signing ceremonies, and an impressive business volume of $6.2 billion. For 2026, the organizers are enhancing the format with an expanded exhibition space, targeted B2B, G2B, and G2G meetings, and a robust program to align procurement needs with industrial capabilities across 53 critical sectors.
For international media and industry insiders, the significance of this event lies in its development as a hub for commerce, defence diplomacy, and technology policy. Supported by various public institutions in Türkiye, SAHA 2026 boasts international certification from UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. The agenda will feature global panels, keynote addresses, roundtable discussions, product unveilings, and dedicated thematic and national pavilions, along with activities related to NATO NIF and structured networking opportunities for international collaboration.
Focusing on operationally relevant technologies and live demonstrations, the exhibition will include highlights such as the FPV Drone Zone, the SAHA UGV Challenge, and the SAHA Rover Challenge. The redesigned Outdoor and Naval Exhibition Area promises to be larger and more accessible in response to high interest from the previous edition. Attendees can expect to explore systems and solutions across land, naval, missile, aerospace, unmanned, and space domains, along with advancements in robotics, air defence, and military electronics.
“SAHA 2026 is not just a trade exhibition; it is a strategic platform showcasing Türkiye’s remarkable advancements in the defence and aerospace sectors, underscoring its expanding global influence,” remarked Haluk Bayraktar of SAHA Istanbul in a recent communication.
“We are entering a transformative era in defence and aerospace, defined by vision, collaboration, and trusted partnerships,” Bayraktar continued. He emphasized that SAHA 2026 aims to be more than a showcase—it will be a crucial venue for partnerships, technology transfer, and enduring trust.
