Innovative Partnership: SCYTALYS and PT Dirgantara Indonesia Boost N219 and CN235 with Next-Gen Tactical Mission Systems
SCYTALYS and PT Dirgantara Indonesia Form Strategic Partnership
Athens, 9 April 2026. In a significant development for the Maritime Patrol Aircraft sector, SCYTALYS, part of EFA GROUP, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI). This collaboration aims to bolster both companies’ presence in the industry by integrating SCYTALYS systems into PTDI’s maritime surveillance variants of the N219 and CN235 aircraft.
This strategic agreement involves the integration of SCYTALYS’s advanced Mission Integration and Management System Airborne, known as MIMS Airborne, into PTDI’s N219 and CN235 platforms. This enhancement will improve maritime surveillance and patrol capabilities, unlocking new opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market. The MoU was officially signed at the Singapore Airshow 2026 by PTDI’s Director of Commerce, Technology & Development, Mr. Moh Arif Faisal, and SCYTALYS President, Mr. Dimitris Karantzavelos.
MIMS Airborne is an innovative modular command and control system (C2) built on an open-architecture framework. It facilitates the real-time integration and management of a variety of crucial sensors and subsystems, including radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), electronic warfare (ESM/ELINT), aeronautical navigation, and tactical communications. This results in a cohesive Common Operational Picture (COP). With MIMS Airborne, the N219 and CN235 aircraft transform into fully network-centric C4ISR nodes, dramatically enhancing their operational effectiveness.
Mr. Moh Arif Faisal expressed, “This collaboration will significantly elevate the operational capabilities of the N219 and CN235 aircraft. It creates new avenues for PTDI’s flagship offerings through competitive special-mission solutions tailored to meet users’ operational needs.”
Additionally, Mr. Dimitris Karantzavelos commented, “The signing of this MoU with PTDI represents a pivotal move to strengthen SCYTALYS’ international footprint and drive forward innovative mission solutions. By integrating the MIMS Airborne system into the N219 and CN235, we confirm our technological leadership and commitment to delivering reliable, interoperable, and bespoke special-mission solutions. Our partnership with PTDI opens exciting new prospects for SCYTALYS’ growth in the Asia-Pacific region, and we eagerly anticipate further development of this promising collaboration.”
