Australian MQ-4C Triton Program on Track and Preparing Next Aircraft for Delivery
PALMDALE, Calif. – Feb. 6, 2025 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has successfully completed the testing of Australia’s third MQ-4C Triton at its Palmdale, California facility. This aircraft, also referred to as “AUS3,” is set to be transported to Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland, where it will undergo calibration testing alongside Australia’s second Triton. Both aircraft are destined for delivery to the Royal Australian Air Force this year.
This milestone is significant, as robust flight testing and validation of these uncrewed high-altitude, long endurance aircraft are essential before their final delivery. Australia’s air force is working closely with Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Navy to deploy the most advanced maritime intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting capability available.
