
General Dynamics Reports Second-Quarter 2026 Financial Results
General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has announced its financial performance for the second quarter of 2026, reporting revenue of $14.1 billion. This figure represents an increase of 8.1% compared to the same period last year.
In terms of earnings, the company posted diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $4.24, marking a rise of 13.4% year-over-year. The operating earnings amounted to $1.5 billion, with an operating margin of 10.4%, an expansion of 40 basis points from the previous year.
Additionally, General Dynamics generated $1.9 billion in cash from operating activities, equating to 162% of net earnings. The company noted a book-to-bill ratio of 1.4-to-1, driven by strong order activity across all segments.
Phebe Novakovic, chairman and chief executive officer, commented on the results: “Our businesses delivered solid results in the quarter, with revenue growth across all four segments – including double-digit increases in revenue and noteworthy margin expansion in Aerospace and Marine Systems – reflecting our ongoing efforts to increase the pace of execution and deliver on our backlog.”
